The Eclipse of Truth

Truth, like the sun, is the giver of meaning to all things.

It is the light that provides the power to grow.

It allows the flower of honesty to bloom

and vision of the eagle to soar.

Truth is respect.

What if lying and deception were to take

a long, intruding and darkening arc across the skies

and come between mankind and what is real?

That would be the eclipse of truth.

And what would follow?

Reason would wither.

Wandering rivers of ideas would dry up.

Giving gardens of humanity would die.

We would plunge into an ice age of ignorance.

And how long would the eclipse of truth last?

When would we see the light pop out on the other side

of the shadow that covers us all?

Careful.

Don’t look directly into it.

The eclipse can blind you.
