Easter Hymn

In traditional Protestant style

Chorus

His life, a sacrifice

to shine a light in the night,

His life, a sacrifice,

redemption is ours in His might.

Verse One

A crown of thorns upon your head

as you carried the cross to the hill,

your precious blood you shed,

you rose from the dead

and your word is in us living still.

Verse Two

You sacrificed your life for us,

you were nailed on the cross for our sins.

To save the world you died,

mankind purified;

in your love, let our new life begin.
